This doesn’t necessarily make it robust or reliable. So it sounds like your IP connectivity to the router is good enough to establish a DHCP handshake. The only thing that worked briefly was totally turning off the router for a good 15 minutes then reconnecting, but after an hour or so the issue had come back.Īnyone else experienced this? I was thinking of assigning a static IP to her PS4 and forwarding the ports when I get home from work later today, but I wont bother if it won't help. We've tested other devices in her room, reset the router, physically moved the PS4 to a different location, nothing seems to help. This is all happening whilst my ps4 and other devices such as our phones or laptops can connect with zero issues. Running tests shows that the signal strength is 100% but it never passes the 'internet connection' stage. As of yesterday, however, hers has decided that it can connect to the WiFi, but not the internet. Mine has absolutely no problem connecting to the internet and never drops out. My girlfriend and I both live together and both have PS4s, mine is a pro, hers is a regular PS4 in white.
